After 3 years of use, my Lelit Elizabeth PL92T needs a break
This morning, while I was frothing milk, I could not turn off the steam. It got messy, milk was splashing everywhere. Later on, I found that if I push the knob towards the machine as I close it, it closed.
I guess I had it coming. The steam wand has been leaking for months. I thought I just need to close it harder and that’s a mistake!
I opened the machine, took out the steam valve screw, and noticed the threads on the screw were gone. The valve gasket was also severely worn off.

If you also own this machine, try to be gentle with the steam knob. Turn it slowly and try not to close it too tight. Don’t make the same mistake I did. From where I live, I can’t just order the replacement part (SPP2200075). I need to take the machine back to the dealer. I guess it’s time to do a full check-up too.
